I thought I'd expose you all to the highlights of Stepney Green living, so here are some photos of my humble abode.

My room, taken whilst standing on my bed:

My room, the other side of the room:

My "lobby", with wardrobe and sink:

The hallway outside. Needs brightening up.

Our kitchen! Isn't it magnificent?

The dining table in our kitchen. The window is now decorated like a kiddies' crèche.

The inspiring view from the bedroom window:

The pinboard, still a WIP but coming on.

ETA!!!! I just spent a few minutes decorating said pinboard with some new artworks of greatness. The NEW IMPROVED pinboard can be seen HERE!!!

Today a very nice man randomly turned up at our flat and fixed my window handle, the one that had snapped off so the window wouldn't lock shut. Yay him! He also tipped up a plant slightly so I had to brush soil off my duvet but oh well. The great thing is, my new window handle even has a key!! *is determined to keep this key non-lost to be a rebel*

On Saturday I'm going back to Manchester for dad's party. That'll be fun. I'm going to pick up Voronwë teddy and one or two other things.

LOL! It's a photomanip by [livejournal.com profile] tuxedo_elf. He can be found here (http://rumil.wozupdoc.net/manips/RavoFinal.jpg). I'm glad you like him (I adore him)... I don't think he's actually tied up, just sliding out of his shirt, but I can assure you that he enjoys being tied up very much.

(As a random aside, the picture is of one of my writing muses and he has demanded his own blog and website. *sigh*)

Great pictures, thank you for sharing! :)

Mmmmmh, I like your new improved pinboard. Yummy elves!

I think I know the angel on your Nightwish poster. I took a picture of her on an old graveyard in Rome! The photo and that of several other angels got printed on big papers and is now on hanging allover at my parents' place. :)

Heheh, I'm glad you approve of my additions! They brighten the place up a bit. And, of course, use lots of printer ink, but never mind!

I love that angel. I've seen her around in pictures here and there; a friend-of-a-friend used her as an icon (her user name was fallenangel or something). It's a beautiful grave; I didn't know it was in Rome.

It's soooo nice having all that work surface area in the kitchen! Last year I had an area about 18 inches by 12 inches, and that was it - now I can spread out, move pans around, have a book nearby. It's wonderful!

Pinboards are so much fun! I love decorating them!

That looks pretty good for student digs. Is it owned by the University, or privately rented?

It's university owned, but it's a postgraduate block. It's quite nice except for all the little things being broken - window locks, the metal bit on the front door, our postbox, the oven door not shutting quite right, my chair being missing, etc. The kitchen is certainly rather swanky. Of course, [livejournal.com profile] ilanin's house is better!

Thanks, I loved this peek into your world *hugs* It's all really nice. Love the kitchen and the dining area. Even the view isn't bad... it looks like a nice place to be living.

You're kidding! The view of a local authority council block? LOL The tree is quite nice, I'll admit that. The road's rather busy, lots of cars sitting at the traffic lights playing hip-hop or Bollywood (the Bollywood's pretty tasteful; the bass of the hip-hop sort of resonates). The kichen is great, I'm really fond of that.

I'm used to living in a room about 3 times the size of that, so it took a bit of getting used to, but I'm adapting. Since it's a friendly flat there's room to wander around and chat and not feel caged.

Basically, it's growing on me!

(Even if we did have a fire alarm for the whole building because some daft person was using a rice cooker in their room.)

Oh my goodness! Your kitchen/dining area is HUGE!!! It kind of reminds me of a staff lounge at some workplace. XD The kitchen in my apartment is SO TINY, and there IS no dining area. D: Woooww. Green trim is... interesting, though.

Do you have one of those crazy cleaning ladies this time around? If so, hope it goes better than all of your previous crazy cleaning ladies.

Crikey, I was meandering through Stepney Green last night, between Canary Wharf and Aikido in Bethnal Green. Bits of it look nice.

You read Lawhead too? I love those books, love love them! I'm only up to the end of Arthur though... Merlin is sooooo cool.

I want to know what happened to Pelleas!

Feel free to remove the first 'NOTE THE FLOOR'. The computer was misbehaving.
