Well, we didn't win; didn't even get placed. But my friend Helen did, so that's good. Even though her group basically reproduced lecture material, with a 3D tree into the bargain.

My poster buddy has got hold of the e-mails for the 2 people at Cambridge who specialise in the sort of stuff our poster was on, so we're going to arrange meetings to discuss it and find out if our theories are right.

The best bit was that at the poster exhibition there was an unlimited supply of free wine and sugary/salty food. And houmous.

I'm taking the evening off and officially doing sod all. Yay!

I though the 3D tree was rather good, the placings were a bit wierd though, weren't they

I agree the tree was good. It was fun! But I disagree with their judging the posters exclusively on aesthetic appeal, with less regard for content. Although I admit all 3 winners had interesting content.

BTW, who are you? :)

OK, I realise the comment on my journal earlier possibly didn't sound the way it was meant to. I apologise and hope you're not offended, cos I wan't saying your poster was bad whatsoever. I did like it.

I'm just being a sore loser. Always have been :(
