Pulled a muscle in my groin at some point during the Aikido warmups. *embarrassed cringe* On the plus side, this gave me a valid excuse not to do sit-ups.

Made it to the end of the lesson without sitting out of too much. Was clock-watching a bit to ensure I didn't get overexcited and make it worse.

For some reason, it feels better when I lean forward and walk on tiptoe.

Discovered that the girl I inherited my PhD from has a blog. Unfortunately she doesn't really update it. I was hoping to learn if she had a Biological background as she was misspelling some plant family names quite impressively, but didn't really learn much at all.

I think tonight I'll get an early night!

If anyone wants to send round Elves to massage me in Suitable Places... *snigger*

Hooray for lab meeting tomorrow being moved from 9am to 12pm. Am all in favour of lie-ins.

There seems to be a problem with the underlying database I'm working on. Some entries are acting like they don't exist. Meh.

This entry lacks meaningful content. Sorry. I think I mostly wanted to go, "Argh, my groin." Apologies to any of you who would give your right arm to have "Argh, my groin," as your worse issue. *hugs*

I am sending Fingon, Voronwë, and Caranthir. I though it better to keep my Arakano muse at home. ^_~

Ibuprofen is good for that. (g)

The girl you inhereted your phd from? Did she abandon it, or just the phd on which yours is based?

She quit about 6 months in. I don't know why, but that's why I have a nearly-finished database to debug, not a sheet of paper with numbers on to turn into a database!

Do we know if Oblivion's home number is still the same as the one on ToothyWiki?

*just embarrassed self by copying number on computer and then wondering why she couldn't CTRL+V it into phone*

I don't know.

Oh yes, I do that *all the time*. My brain is way ahead of the technology.

Erestor says he'll be right over. He enjoys massaging groins. *cackles*

That might depend upon what sort of groin injury it is. A pulled muscle might be minor but some can prove fatal. I have heard an 'amusing' (and maybe true) story of a man who ripped open his groin due to some sex related thing and needed a blood transfusion or similar. A shot to the groin would often be seen as an attempt to kill the person slowly.
Sorry this content also lacks meaningful content!

The one thing that did flash through my mind was, "What if this is going to turn into a hernia?!" It *is* rather visibly swollen, but I think that's just muscle inflammation. Ibuprofen has cleared up almost all the pain.

That sounds far worse than your earlier description suggested. Unfortunately I know little about things that don't involve fast moving metal objects.

I was surprised by the swelling. But I'm sure it'll be fine. If not, I'm in trouble as the doctor's still haven't got back to me since I registered online...

Visit a Corps III aide post. They might look strangely at you but they might be able to help.

Ouchies. :( I pulled my groin skating (split jumps) about five years ago. It hurt on and off for two years after, though it did not help that I continued to do the split jumps and once tore it again in a spectacularly embarassing manner by kicking a box of french fries at my restaurant job.

I hope that you don't take two years to heal (stay away from rollerskates and french fries!) and that the Elves treat you right. ;)
