enismirdalToday I could probably write enough thankful things to last me a year!
We WON with the fridge. They took the small one we didn't want, and left us with our nice, big old fridge that we love very much.
I hugged the fridge twice. I am grateful for the nice, big fridge and the fact we still have it.
I'm also grateful for CDs. Much easier to make backups than in the days of floppies and ditto tapes! I backed up loads of recent work today, and felt good.
I'm also grateful for the internet and e-mail. With these powerful tools I was able to track down the parents of my best friend when I was about 4, and I received a reply today. It's lovely to know that someone I used to be so close to is doing well - she's in Lisbon, how cool is that? :D
I'm grateful for our lab's central heating system. It's getting distinctly wintery outside now, but I can sit in the lab in a T-shirt. This will be VERY good when February comes around!
My Feet of Flames DVD arrived at the weekend, which kept me suitably entertained for a while. Bernadette Flynn and Gillian Norris are insanely gorgeous. That's another thing to be grateful for!

Date: 15 Nov 2006 00:05 (UTC)I love the fridge! I'm definitely doing happy dances. I'd sort of formed this ritual - get into flat, see if there was any post in front of my door, check fridge situation. So seeing that our old friend is sticking with us - hooray!
It has lots of magnets, left over halloween decorations and other exciting stuff on, so it looks rather loved.
And darn, I thought I'd replied to this nearly an hour ago. Must have forgotten to hit "post"!
