I am a sad geek, and thusly do I update LJ on Christmas Day. :D
Rolled out of bed at about 12:15pm, having been absorbed in my Wraeththu book till 2am the previous night. The Fulfilments of Fate and Desire so far has been by far my favourite of the first 3 (not least because I love Calanthe's dubious morals and gorgeously flawed character) - the characterisations seem much more consistent, the grammar better and the dialogue less predictable. I should read the rewritten version of Enchantments sometime...
So, having slept through breakfast and not wanting to skip lunch, as it's a yummy Bits and Pieces Lunch, I replaced breakfast with lunch. This has confused my stomach, which is used to being fed sugar in the mornings, not a balanced mixture of proteins, fats, carbs and vitamins.
As a result, I may be one of the few people in the country who is mildly hungry at 3:15pm on Christmas Day.
Relatively few presents were exhanged this year, which suits me just fine.
POTC is on TV tomorrow, yays!
Now, let's see if I can violate the Spirit of the Season and whatnot by getting some work done. *smirk*
