For I have sinned.

I decided my desire to see The Curse of King Tut's Tomb was too great. So I flipped my DVD drive to Region 1 (I think this computer will be dead within a year, so I might as well use the changes while I have them!) and put the DVD on.

Now...The Mummy Returns...similar genre, and a very bad film, right? OK, this movie makes The Mummy Returns look amazing.

Seriously, this is the WORST MOVIE EVER. Francisco Bosch, you are the most stunningly gorgeous creature I have ever set eyes upon, and I am just glad that the movie's extraordinary badness has nothing to do with you.

What it does have to do with is EVERYTHING ELSE.

I am just dying of bogglement. I really can't believe how bad this actually is.

But King Tut is deeeeeelicious. Oh yes. Oh yes.

<3 Fran is lovely. What I want is a version of that movie that just contains his scenes.

Oh, I very much emphatically agree. Even when I was almost crying with the badness, he made it alllll worth it. The end bit was just... *grins* I was gibbering with delight!

I guess I need to get me some screencaps for posterity. Bloody region encoding stopping me from simply rewatching it any time I like...

It's worse than "Troy"? Because I thought I had hit an all time cinematic low with that one...

Oh, definitely better than Troy! Wikipedia already has a list of the historical inaccuracies in King Tut - but I really think that trivia such as "Egypt wasn't a republic when the film was set" is a minor flaw in when compared to the observation that a character in the film blew a perfectly rectangular hole in the ground using dynamite without even chipping the hieroglyphs carved on the rock beneath.

And, you know, the villains wanted to rule the world. And said so. In as many words.
