Happy Birthday
keiliss!! I hope your coming year is full of light, happiness and chocolate! Happy 28th, dearie! ;)
In other news, there was a bee escapingage this morning. It seems when the labtech fed one of the bee colonies on Friday, he left one of the shutters on their flight arena slightly ajar. So this morning, a colleague alerted us to the fact that she had just seen a bumblebee in the corridor outside.
We looked in the spare lab where this bee colony was kept and...found about two dozen bees crawling over the floor. It took us about half an hour to locate and catch them all*. Fortunately most were males so couldn't have stung us even if they'd tried, and really they were all too dopey to think of such things.
Today I got no data at all. But I did a bee yesterday, so I have 8 out of 10 bees for this experimental setup, my curve is showing signs of being a logarithmic type learning curve and I am content.
*All but three - they flew up and got into the lights, so we couldn't catch them.
