Meeting with Director of Studies was totally painless - I didn't even get all defensive/emotional/embarrassed. He's got it into his head that I need to aim for a 1st, which sounds like a lovely idea, although in my mind, it sounds like a lovely idea in the same way that getting back from a Cells practical to find a naked Glorfindel on my bed sounds like a nice idea. So, erm, yes Matt darling.

And I'd just like to say that girlofthemirror is amazing, fantastic, wonderful, awesome, supremely supreme and I'm running out of sufficiently emphatically good adjectives here.

This Hope is nearly done. I have about 2 scenes to finish (typically, it's being written from the middle and the end at once, like most things in my life), one to revise, and then there's the task of turning it into something actually worth reading. I want this to be the best fic ever, cos it's a special one for reasons I'll explain later, but I'm sure my writing skills are nowhere near that good. So I'll put lota and lots of love in and hope it all works :)

I've decided I need a new T-shirt off Cafepress (I'd be a fool not to take advantage of this great time when the Dollar is worth but 54p!). The question is, do I want "Figwit Lives!" or "You. My Talan. Now." Oooh, decisions decisions.

And it's official. I'm addicted to hot cross buns :-S

Naked Glorfindal?

I will not accept that any Elf (with the possible exception of Erestor) could equal or surpass the gorgeousness of Lord Glorfindel. And otherwise only Figwit and Faelon come close to that level. Therefore I can only conclude that you mean Aragorn...*bafflement* Well, if he floats your boat, then great! :) (But I admit that I totally fail to see why people find him so sexy.)

But then, I'm a Pervy Elf Fancier who likes her males pretty and androgynous, so what can you expect? :)

Ooh, I have an appropriate icon! *whips it out* And I have to agree with you. Although I would probably jump any elf, were one to cross my path, I'd have to say that I imagine that Glorfindel is truly The Prettiest, although in my mind, he ties with Erestor.

I wouldn't so much mind coming home to find Glorfindel and Erestor in my bed. Preferably shagging each other. Hmm...

Oh, before I get sidetracked in pervy elf fancying, could you post a link to where you're finding all these nifty-cool t-shirts?

No i dont mean Aragorn (dont insult me, though he is kinda cute in the film at times) I much more prefer elves just not Glorfindel or Erestor for that matter. But give me Legolas, Elrohir or Elladan.............

Personally I prefer Ecthelion as a Balrog slayer(as opposed to Glorfindel). I mean he killed 3 (1 which was the Lord of Balrog slayers) and on top of that knows how to stay dead! Unlike certain blond haired elves.
No me and Rachel are quite separate views- she likes Aragorn I dont.
But Elladan and Elrohir tooether? Methinks not im not in to threesomes and Id prefer just to have Elrohir all to myself!hehehe

Ecthelion, yes, he's a sweetie and very cute :) And Rog and Egalomoth are fun too. *loves Gondolin and all Elves in it*

Actually, I was wondering if you were a closet slasher, or a least a fanfic fan, cos your taste in Elves runs to the obscure and semi-obscure, which implies you've been doing some background reading, if you know what I mean.

Of course, it's quite conceivable that you are just one of those people who genuinely just knows their books really well. Which is also cool, and would make you very popular with the Cambridge Tolkien Society if you're ever down here :)

I do genuinely know my books really well. Im amazed the way TOlkien has created such a complete world-no one really has done it before so completely.
I'm not adverse to any fanfiction reading (id be a hypocrit if I said I was) as I quite like the way it fills in the gaps that Tolkien left (and he left enormous ones!). He did say once that he has created a world were anyone is free to write in it.
And im sure any other Tolkien reader will agree that he can be heavy going at times and fanfic simplifies it and makes it more accessable.
As for your other question-Me going to Manchester university (well thats the plan....................)
