I am clearly a soft-hearted, silly, daft and sentimental Eni. As it turned out, there was only one little boy left, and he had a home to go to. It was the girls who were in need of homes. So I agreed to take two. They're TINY! Rubisco is seriously three times the size.
They seem to like their new cage, having monkey nuts and apple twigs to chew, and have already given their seal of approval to alfalfa and broccoli. *grins*
Quinine is the boss, and periodically beats Sucrose up to make sure everyone knows it. (Not viciously, just enough to make Sucrose squeal a bit and act submissive again.)
Some piccies...
A couple of Quinine. I chose her, when she sank her teeth into me.

And one of Sucrose. She chose me, by coming over and sniffing me in a cute and curious fashion.

Also, here's one of Rubisco. She's a bit upset about having intruders and was being a total drama queen last night (and has been sulking today too). I'm trying to bribe her with cheese, with mixed success... She'll settle once she's realised they're not coming in her cage and I still love her, I'm sure.

That's all for now. More when flatmate doesn't want to borrow my printer!

Date: 25 Feb 2008 22:27 (UTC)It must be just the light - they both have dark brown eyes. They luckily have different facial markings so I can tell them apart even on the basis of a nose sticking out of the house!
I'm kind of amused at having ended up with three grey-and-white hamsters!
