BBC iPlayer seems to be including subtitles on more and more of its programmes without you needing to download them. This makes me happy. :D :D *loves subtitles*

However, they didn't include subtitles to the spell Nimueh was chanting at the start of this week's Merlin. It sounds like it's in Old English. I want a transcript to see if I'm right!!!

Ooh, it did rather! As did Nimueh's later spells too. Sounded like she started the one in the cave by calling on earth, air, fire and water if I'm not mistaken.

Would be kind of cool if the BBC did have a translator to write all the spells in an authentic Anglo-Saxon dialect!

Oooh, yes, a bit of googling throws up various interviews in which the cast talk about having to master Old English pronunciations!
