Went to Kew today, to use the library. It was cool but a bit scary, but everyone was really nice. Kew is very pretty atm, all colourful trees. The Dawn Redwoods are shedding their leaves.

US Electoral people sent flatmate her absentee ballot. Trouble is, they sent it here and she's not in the country (she told them to send it to her parents). So I've had to forward that on by AirSure. Silly admin people. Way to go with the ensuring they get all the absentee ballots!

By the way, further to this post, I took inspiration from several comments and ended up making a banana creme brulée. I didn't have rum so I used rum flavouring, and used quite a lot. The result was a fruity (but not specifically banana-ey), and very booze-flavoured dessert with an interesting appearance and texture which lasted me a full 4 days and was not bad at all. And used up nearly 3 bananas. Our banana situation is now under control. Wheee.
