I never realised just how surreal kids' TV is, until I watched it as a grown-up...

Even Button Moon is seriously cracky.

ETA: OK "seriously cracky" is an understatement. I can't watch this episode any more. It's making my brain leak out through my ear in terror. (It's the one with the Skittle Mice.)

Ah yes. The truth comes out.

Since I have a 10 year old kids' tv doesn't even phase me anymore. I lived through Teletubbies, and well, yeah.

;)

They say kids shouldn't watch tv until they're two. Looking at the state of kids tv, you can understand why! Aedan only gets to watch it for about 15 mins a day. :P

I can very much understand why. They'd be better off marketing some of these shows to teenagers as a cheap, safe alternative to LSD. Who needs class A drugs when you can have dinosaurs hiding from skittle mice under the bed, and then the mice going into the shower with people made from bleach bottles?

Not to mention that the editing on a lot of these programmes switches scene and/or camera angle far faster than a young child's brain can keep up, I'm sure!
