Gacked off [livejournal.com profile] naath
Grab the book nearest to you, turn to page 18, find line 4. Write down what it says.
"Those who hunt with him find themselves contesting who" - Arthur, Stephen Lawhead

Stretch your left arm out as far as you can. What do you touch first?
One of the tribe of dirty coffee mugs which are assembling on my desk (current total = 4)

What is the last thing you watched on TV?
Probably a Friends repeat yesterday.

WITHOUT LOOKING, guess what the time is.
11:25am (GMT)

Now look at the clock, what is the actual time?
11:12am (GMT) (well, actually is says 11:19 on my clock, but I keep it fast)

With the exception of the computer, what can you hear?
Chair creaking. A could of birds singing. Not much; double glazing.

When did you last step outside? What were you doing?
About half an hour ago, to bring the guinea pigs some breakfast.

Before you came to this website, what did you look at?
This was the first one I came to. I was on Anu's LJ earlier trying to make the quiz link work, but computer won't co-operate.

What are you wearing?
Grey trousers, white top, pink fleece. Barefeet.

Did you dream last night?
Yeah. We were in this church in like, maroon versions of our college gowns, and the church music people were playing. At the end of each song thing, everyone was standing up to applaud, but the music guy kept telling us to sit down in a teachery tone of voice. Except Girly was sitting next to me, and she kept whispering at me to stand up cos it was polite...

When did you last laugh?
Probably small-scale reading Naath's answers; large-scale reading in the paper how much make up and stuff Charlize Theron needed to make her ugly for Monster.

What is on the walls of the room you are in?
Pink and magnolia paint. LOTR posters, but not many cos the good ones are at college. Miscellaneous pictures - lake, teddy, and a print of a photo from near where I used to live in Leeds. Also, some Physiology equations brightened up by being interspersed with mild slashart and my LOTR shrine, which is the top bit of the chimnet breat just covered in pics and Elvish calligraphy.

Seen anything weird lately?
Have I seen anything normal lately?

What do you think of this quiz?
Amusingly random

What is the last film you saw?
Dawn of the Dead. Was funny and gross. Quite cool but made me paranoid.

If you became a multi-millionaire overnight, what would you buy first?
I'm tempted to say I'd organise a giant international slashcon and forcibly fly in slashy people from all over the world. That would be coolness in the extreme. Failing that, Hampton Court Palace. Also, King's and Trinity Colleges, Cambridge.

Tell us something about you that we don't know.
*rubs hands gleefully* I flashed a boy in my class when I was 9? I have the entire alphabet in orange Smartie tops.

If you could change one thing about the world, regardless of guilt or politics, what would you do?
Make it all temperate. It would eliminate so many of the desperate problems that drive people to do crazy stuff. Also would open up a lot more holiday destinations for me.

Do you like to dance?
Yes, but the people with me seem to go very reluctant when I bring up the subject.

George Bush: is he a power-crazy nut case or someone who is finally doing something that has needed to be done for years?
He's a doofus. I think he stood for President cos it seemed liked the obvious thing to do at the time. The one good thing he's done is ruin the dollar to the point where it's now really convenient for us Brits.

Imagine your first child is a girl, what do you call her?
Depends who the father was, and what she looks like. Laurelé appeals though.

Imagine your first child is a boy, what do you call him?
No idea. Depends what I think of looking at him. Lachlan?

Would you ever consider living abroad?
Possibly. I'd do US or Canada, or Germany or Austria. Not sure about anywhere else though.

Will you pass on this survey?
Well, I'll stick it on LJ. Why not?

It seems we're going to America this summer.

After insufficient interest was expressed in the Far East (i.e. Singapore, Thailand...), America was deemed an alternative. Both are naturally too hot for me, so I must be crazy agreeing to go on either trip. Unfortunately the Far East, it seems, is /always/ hot, and this is likely to be the only chance I'll get to visit the States for a long time.

The plan seems to include both New York and the Grand Canyon, and therefore is likely to involve lots of planes.

Everything's still in the earliest stages of planning at the moment, so for all I know, we may just end up in Germany/Austria instead (which I must say, would also suit me, as I'm a complete Teutophile, or whatever the German versionof a Gallophile is).

In other news, it appears that my being a 'lesbian' has served to elevate my brother socially. Whereas before he was a geek and his sister was a minger, now he is "the lesbian's brother", which apparently is more interesting. My mother is finding that telling people I have a girlfriend is, in turn, encouraging people to tell her stuff. (She didn't tell me what 'stuff' was; I suspect it is likely to be "Oooh, yes; my daughter used to have a friend who was *drops voice conspiratorially* a lesbian. Oh, are we still allowed to call them that? Or is there a politically-correct name for them now...?")
