Day is going...well, it's just going really.
Got up nice and latish (9:20am), waited for shower to be free, yadda yadda yadda. Then showed off swirly cloak to my bedder. She like it and has offered to bring in her crushed velvet skirt which apparently would "go lovely with it" - and if it fits and I like it I can have it, apparently. What I'm doing even considering clothes off a 62-year-old, I do not know, but hey, it's worth a shot.
Booted up computer, checked mail. Aaaaargh! Supervision at 11am! Time was now 10:40 and I was still eating breakfast, although to my credit, I was wearing clothes and was capable of speech, so it was quite good going altogether. Decided not to bother trekking all the way to the gyproom for margarine so ate my muffin plain. I never realised just how salty they were (this is an English muffin, btw, not an American muffin, to which I am also very partial).
Made it to supervision fine, also sounded both alert and interested, and even managed to pretend I'd done some work in the holidays. Amazingly, all 4 of us turned up, which is impressive.
Got back and reminded myself of the 15 short-answer questions we'd been set in Cells. Of which I had done about 4. I'm now up to about 6-7. It's progressing. Slowly.
Heard knocking outside, and discovered it was surveyors looking at the walls. The college is redoing our building so the surveyors have to check everything out...or something. At least I don't have any important plumbing in my room, so they haven't come in here. I am still only partway through unpacking, although were Girly to see it now, she would note a significant improvement on 36 hours ago.
Also, got to bed at 2am this morning owing to having discovered the joys of browsing Friends Reunited. It's kind of cool seeing what old friends (and enemies) are up to now. But I'm still not ready to pay the site people £7.50 a year so I can e-mail them all. Maybe later...
