Bleh. I'm having to make a decision. Bleh.
We all have to pick flats for next year. Most of the flats are for 4 people (those that aren't are organised separately). We had 4 people for our flat, but now one has left. This is not a problem as such.
Now it comes to picking flat time. Two of the people in our flat were in favour of getting one on the top floor. However, one of these people was the one who's now left, and the other has been in Germany all week, so I haven't heard from him properly on what he wants. The remaining two of us want a ground floor flat if possible (being, as it it, ten times more convenient).
Oooh, I've just had an e-mail saying the guy will be able to make the ballot. I knew the girl couldn't. The guy was the one wanting top floor. He said he wants to meet me in advance to 'sort things out'. Whatever that may mean. Probably murder me and dump my body in the Cam :)
You see, last night I sent an e-mail to my two future flatmates saying, "Look, this is how it stands. I'm the only one I know is going to be at the room-picking ballot session. Unless I hear back before the ballot, I am going to try for a ground floor flat." In addition, we girls both have preferences for a particular room, whilst he hasn't expressed any, so since we have to say which room in the flat we each want, I'd be inclined to put us both down for the ones we wanted and designate him one at random from the two left over.
In words of wise almighty Bradley: "You snooze, you lose."
In words of wise almighty Confuscius: "Man who drop watch in toilet have shitty time."
"Man who go to bed with itchy bottom wake up with smelly finger."
