Well, we got the flat we wanted. By 'wanted', I mean, the one which suited us best out of the ones we considered likely to be left by the time they got to our place in the ballot. As it turned out, the top floor ones went quite quickly this time. Also, number 14 of dingy kitchen fame was snapped up before the better ones on that floor.

So that all works out for the best. And there was no issue with rooms, and because all the flats on higher floors went first, there was no argument with our guy over his dream top floor apartment - we didn't have a choice!!

The Goddess is smiling upon me today.

My bedder has been shopping. She has bought a jacket. Think 20s, black velvet, with gold embroidery all the way across the entire back and up both sleeves. Also, know that she is about 63 and has been seen in cleavage-exposing tops, etc. Then decide whether this is a good thing. It's the kind of thing you see in a shop and think, "Wow, cool!" but never ever buy. Except, seemingly, if you're my bedder!!

Is it just me, or is it a little cooler today? I was very freaked out to see one of my lecturers wearing a jacket in this weather. The lecture theatre was not cool.

I think I should resolve to go to bed earlier than 1:30am sometime soon. This could be a plan. It's not that I have no energy, more that I have no concentration span. Meh.

*giggles* Those two are already an item and totally cutely besotted with each other. It seems to me that jonnyjonjon will appreciate the gift ;) And his being at the far end of the country complicates face-to-face greetings and gift-giving.

Yay on getting the flat you wanted. Looks like my housemates and I will be staying in the same place for next year...no complaints, I love my room.

Congrats on your flat! The housing system here at FSU is so messed up (and we definitely don't get to pick which room we get), so I think it's a major achievement that you got what you wanted. Go you! :D
