Dermicidin is such a cool substance. It's a little protein secreted in sweat that is a potent antimicriobial agents. It kills all diffferent kinds of bacteria, from E. coli to S. aureus. They found it back in 2001.
So why have there been no new research articles published about it since then? How can something so obviously full or potential be so pitifully ignored?
I want journal articles, papers, citations to the original article in Nature Immunology! *pouts*
EDIT: It appears part of my problem was my inistence on spelling it 'dermicidin' instead of 'dermcidin', which would be correct. Considering that, although I got no journal papers, I got several popular helath articles when I searched for 'dermicidin', it appears I am not the only one to make this mistake.
