Decided to reward myself for the last exam (for doing it, basically), so went to WHSmith to get me a new notebook for ficness.

I made the mistake of consulting Erestor-muse on which one he wanted. He sniffed at anything less than £4, and dragged me straight to the expensive ones.

I managed to talk him out of the £14.99 ones, and the £9.99 ones. Was almost taken with a rather pretty £6.99 one, until I spotted one he really liked.

So the eventual compromise was a lovely plain black notebook, unruled, nicely linen bound. Simple, but sophisticated. And not too outrageously expensive - £4.99.

It will end up being a home for a bunny or two I have in store, no doubt.

No, he's not real in the sense of corporeal. I think quite a number of people who write regularly will agree with me when I say that muses can be somewhat...over-assertive. They have this habit of taking over your brain and never, ever giving you a moment's peace. And yeah, Erestor might as well be a real person. He can find stuff in my room that I can't, and on the rare occasion it gets tidied, it's usually because he made me.

In the case of my brain, the most persistant muses would be Erestor (oh he of the expensive tastes...), Eluréd, Glorfindel to a lesser extent, Maedhros, and a smattering of OCs (Raeglor, Aska, Drystan, etc.)
