Well, this is Manchester. My brother has been tormenting me in the following ways:

  • Telling me I need to try his beer
  • Showing me his enormous collection of loudspeakers
  • Asking if he can install my USB card yet
  • Throwing paper at me
  • Throwing pieces of CD at me

Fortunately, I haven't forgotten my previous ability to tune him out :)

He's told me I smell at least 3 times today already.

The garden is very green; the birch tree is huge, as are the foxgloves and the mock orange. All very pretty and floral. My rowan tree is about 20ft tall. This was one of those 'plant a tree for the millennium' - it was a 2ft sapling in 2000. The huge lump on my guinea pig has grown huger, but she doesn't seem to mind. I took both piggies for a walk round the garden.

It's raining lots today. I missed the rain. Yay rain!

I want to be in Buckinghamshire right now...

Some sort of comment on the reading is naturally necessary. Started at 9:30am. Got to be Saradoc Brandybuck, Nob, RĂºmil, Elf 1, Ceorl, Servant, Lugduf and Random Rohirrim and Hobbits. Yay me! Elf 1 just rocks.

[livejournal.com profile] naath was great at sounds and singing (PS I did hardly any sound it was really all her). [livejournal.com profile] megamole was great at singing (I'm so ovely impressed) and blowing the horn of Gondor/Rohan. [livejournal.com profile] cjwatson's Eomer was coolio! Who else? Well, [livejournal.com profile] beckyc made a lovely Narrator person (although, you know, your Gandalf needs to be more dynamic *wink wink* LOL), [livejournal.com profile] emperor - did you know your hooming was so powerful we turned down your mike when you were on? I was well impressed! [livejournal.com profile] tienelle's Boromir was very sweet and naturally, I liked him. ;) And yay [livejournal.com profile] edith_the_hutt for being Hug-person and Useful-person! Hopefully that's most of you covered...

Basically everyone was great (well, those who actually read their lines). Brian Sibley rocks and is dead cool.

Day was long, gruelling and immensely fun. Lots of hobbity and elfy goodness. Also, Hula-Hoopy and Pringly goodness. And Starbucks coffee goodness. Drank too much coffee really. Ooops.

Got lots written. [livejournal.com profile] edith_the_hutt decided to torment me with Evil pairings (e.g. Radagast/Gwaihir and Gimli/Rose (think about it...)) and then [livejournal.com profile] megamole joined in and I made unsquee noises.

I liked it. It was silly and cute when we stood round the piano at the end singing Into the West and people all started crying. But it also proved that I was Prudent, because I'd brought a box of tissues.L

Now, I will pine for people who are very special to me, and who I won't be seeing for some time. Oh well. I can meet all the Manchester People now, anyway.

Ugh, brothers. I do sympathise with you, is he older or younger?

Younger, by three years. Ugh, he's at that age, where he thinks he knows everything. And my parents wonder why I keep disappearing into my bedroom for hours...

Elf 1 just rocks.

S/H/It doesn't even have a name!

Siblings are a pain, sometimes, aren't they? *sigh*

What's wrong with Gimli/Rose?

I'm still standing by Elrond/Smeagol :).
