enismirdalGot up too early yesterday, but then got to meet Harry and go round Manchester, which was nice. Manchester is currently full of garishly-painted fibreglass cows for 'Cow Parade 2004', the purpose of which evaded me then and evades me now. Nonetheless, they were quite amusing; it was interesting to see which had experienced the most vandalism :-|
Bought another notebook. Whoops. Also bought more Pocky sticks. Chinatown, Manchester is a prime source of Pocky sticks. Was pleased witrh self for getting Harry hooked too.
Went for an all-you-can-eat Chinese Buffet lunch before realising we were all meant to be going out for a Thai for dinner. Whoops.
Thai dinner was good. Quote of the evening, from my dad: "It tastes like armpit. No, stronger: groin."
(In reference to 'mince pork on toast with sweet chilli dip')
We discovered that the restaurant has ants; they were making their way along the pretty wooden railing between the two halves of the restaurant. The railing that I was sitting next to. My brother (an odd and disturbed child) persuaded me to catch said ants and pass them to him. He proceeded to eat them I kid you not. My brother likes eating ants.
We also spent some merry minutes trying to work out if the banana tree in the restaurant was fake or not. We were quite certain that something was 'wrong' with it, but coudn't pin what. After close inspection, our suspiciobns proved correct; the huge bunch of bananas apparently growing on it was, in fact, attached to the plant separately. The banana stalk was held on by wires.
Also got to talk to Girly and Avvie on the phone (although not at the same time) <3 <3 <3 Well done Girly!!! You clever, clever Girly! w00t!
