Is it just me, or has the internet been kind of...dead...lately? No-one seemed to be online last night (well, except for Avvie and Uli, who I was talking to). And LJ is quiet. I was up to date with my Friends and Friends of Friends when I went to bed last night - it really was that quiet. Oh, and then my computer crashed so I had to go downstairs to wrap up the conversations.

Got to visit [livejournal.com profile] fairypants at her extremely lovely flat the other day. I'm in love. It's nicer than most student accommodation!

*worries about various friends who, for various reasons, are having shitty times at present, and sends psychic good vibes to them all*

Discovered to my delight that I had 3 caramel Montana bars left from my shopping trip. There is now only 1.

After reading an article decribing how you have a lower risk of repetitive strain injury from using a mouse left-handed, as well as having seen from experience that it's more convenient to have my right hand free, I'm retraining to become a left-handed mouse user. Go me! At the moment I'm a little...awkward. And my double-click speed is somewhat irregular!

    Find job
    Birthday thank you letters
    Beta reading :)
Continue All I Have Left, maybe send off chapter 2 for betaing, maybe post chapter 1 publicly
    Continue Glorfindel/Erestor ficcy
    Continue Erestor/Elf 1
    RPG
Acquire money, possibly in connection with first list item
    E-mail various friends
Get mum to cut hair (cheaper than hairdresser's, and end result largely the same)
Clean kitchen floor for extra karma points
    Change bed covers
    Tidy room

That list makes me look like I almost have a life, go me!

Mouse with left hand: it's a mith, believe me, the left handed ex mouse user chick. Being slightly ambidextrous I tried with the right hand for a while before giving up mice, mouses, whatever. Didn't work out. So far the only thing that has proven almost painless is the touchpad.

I'm an ambi mouse user; after many years of practice. Currently mainly using the right hand though.

That busy Glorfindel is very animated, isn't he? :)

RPG? of what flavour?

I use my mouse right-handed, because it's shaped to be used thusly.

Yeah, I can't stand non-bilaterally symmetric mice...

RPG is an online shonen-ai boys' school type thing, made by [livejournal.com profile] anestel. It's still kind of quiet, but the people there seem really nice.

My mouse is bilaterally symmetrical (although still claims to be ergonomic), so can theoretically work either way.

Oh, yes, I remember you mentioning this before.

Going well then? :)

Nick uses his mouse left handed... it really annoys me when I steal his computer.

Aaah, then this could be a Good Thing - my brother would be discouraged from pushing me off my computer (*is obliged at this point to point out that he has at least 1, possibly 2, of his own*). Except that swapping the mouse from one side to the other is actually Not That Hard.

Bah. Using a mouse left-handed is good for you.

It's really not that hard if you think about it... All you have to do is get used to the buttons.. Middle finger=left button, index=right.

Number one on your list IS my list.

*grins* You haven't seen my total absence of hand-eye co-ordination even right-handed!

I just tried using the mouse with my left hand. Really didnt work. But then as you know, I am very right handed indeed.

Yup. 'tis The Way It Was Meant To Be. Really. Why do you *think* the numpad's on the right?

Still sucks for first-person shooters, though.

i'm lefthanded...
and still i use my mouse with my right hand... i guess the main reason is that all the other people in my house are righthanded and we only had one computer for years :o)
