Was reading the Sunday Times Style today when I saw this. *laughs and laughs and laughs* It cracked me up - their journalist liked slash so much she actually went and wrote some?! SNORK!
Most amusing was that she said everything Girly and I have been saying for years; some girls liking male/male the same way some guys like female/female, men (as a large generalisation) being visual whilst girls tend to be more verbal/emotional.
However, I may be overreacting, but I can't really see any good coming from this article. The fact that she totally neglected to mention the legal issues irritates me; if some random Style reader starts writing Anne Rice slash without doing her research and then gets discovered and C&D'd something bad, it's not going to be much fun for her.
Equally, the higher-profile slash becomes, the more rubbish we all have to wade through before we can find decent fics.
Oh, and finally, when AFF.net gets bombarded with hits, it tends to go down, which is annoying.
Still, that article is absolutely hilarious! *giggles*

Date: 18 Jul 2004 17:33 (UTC)i mean... if men can fantasize about two women why can't we do the same??? to be honest... it does do certain things to me as it probably does to guys, lol
plus, i've been telling everyone for ages that men would rather see things and women would rather imagine them.
that's why there's loads of male porn in pictures and female in words...
yay for us and our wicked minds!!!
*goes to read the article*
