Well, just for the record, I am now officially over yesterday's grumpy/upset/miserable/whiny phase. Apologies to anyone I managed to bore as a result of being obviously unfit for human company. Part of the problem that evening was drinking a glass of my brother's homebrew beer, followed by 2 glasses of a delightful Kabinett.

Boys and girls, do not mix your drinks. Just...don't. Even if you don't get drunk, you'll still do odd things to your personality.

So instead, today, I'm just injuring myself a lot. So far I've walked into the swivel-chair in the morning room and skinned my toe on one of the wheels (why does such a teeny injury hurt like that?) and then later backed into the (dangerously sharp) corner of the oven door, making a nice little purple dent in my right thigh. Lovely.

I tried retail therapy last night. Have ordered myself Wishmaster by Nightwish. Go me! Made me feel all nice and wastelful and extravagent.

Still miss Him though.

Proposal

I propose a motion of censorship against the letter Z

The letter Z is redudant in the English language. Whenever it appears, it can be replaced by either s or ts without a problem. And ts makes a nicer sound than z. In fact, even if a sound 'z' was actually necessary in the English language, what would be wrong with simply putting some kind of accent on an 's' to indicate voicing?

I just don't like the letter Z very much. Tsebras and tsirconium would be wonderful. As would Tsansibar, Tansania, Tsaire, Tsimbabwe and Belise. The names Tsoe and Elisabeth would be better (I have a funny feeling the Queen spells her name like that anyway, sometimes...).

Altogether, I think the letter Z is superfluous and annoying. Maybe I should make a petition?
