Interestingly, I could skew it to R or NC17 depending on my answer to the last question. NC17 makes me sound like I'm all bad or something, so R suits me fine *grins*

Internet access from my bedroom is currently intermittent and unreliable; it's definitely dependent on my brother's computer being switched on, but he's in denial about this, despite my having demonstrated it to him. Since we only have MSN downstairs, and my parents monopolise the main computer, until my brother can be persuaded to fix whatever he's done, I'm not going to be on IM as much as I'd like, espcially MSN, AIM and ICQ.

Of Eluréd and Elurín

Today Rivvie referred me to a fic by Erik (that's Orchyd's husband, I believe). Twas short, an Eluréd/Elurín, well-written and rather touching. I'd never seen it in my life before and was, up until now, unaware of its existence.

Unfortunately, my initial reaction was, "Buggershit!"

Reason: the beginning proceeds in a very, very similar way to my own Eluréd/Elurín. Shorter, yes, and not identical by any means. But still, very similar. Obviously, he's almost definitely never seen my fic, and I'd never seen his, and the progression of events is the only logical way you could justify Eluréd/Elurín slash.

Trouble is, if I publish my Eluréd/Elurín...well, anywhere...the odds are that I'll be accused of plageurism. Which is a pity, cos I really enjoy writing All I Have Left, and I'm certainly not going to abandon it.

So I guess I'll just have to finish it and not publish it, just send it to people who want to read it.

I am very sorry for having compromised your reading pleasure, and I hope that I'm now down to a mere 1 entry, which is far more acceptable. Today is just not my day.)
