Quickie shoutout

Today started off cool but then turned hot in the afternoon. Riding was thusly rather hot. But I was less embarrassingly dreadful than last week and the horse actually did some work.
What I will never understand is why, after a long, hard lesson in summer temperatures, you take the horse back to the stable and rather than doing the sensible thing and getting a long, cool drink, the bonkers animals start munching hay. Insane.
As usual when someone else tacks up Millie, it was all on wrong, ranging from slightly insecure to technically unsafe. Bah. It's cos the riding school has a load of 11 year old girls running around, and someone will yell at them, "JOSIE! Will you go and tack up Albert for the 5:30 lesson?" I don't think half of them have been formally trained in correct tacking up, but because they're hanging around and don't insist on being paid, they're used as slave labour/general dogsbodies. Bah.
